Sherry is usually the one who answers the phone and is in charge of the Mid-America PVA newsletter. She is so much more than your normal secretary. Being a veteran herself, she is ready and happy to answer all questions. She served in the Army for 10 years and specialized in Behavioral Therapy. She has spent a lot of her life helping soldiers with PTSD and depression. She is one of the easiest people to talk to you will ever meet. Her warm smile just invites you to share.
Sherry was as surprised as everyone else that she got married for the first time in July 2019 to Jason, who must be pretty persuasive since she thought she would never marry. What really drew her to Paralyzed Veterans of America and specifically to the Mid-America chapter was the Adaptive Sports. That is her favorite part of working with PVA. She is excited to reach the next generation of vets who may feel stuck at home with no where to go. Sherry hosted a free adaptive climbing day at Threshold climbing Gym, helps with the Bass Tournament and dreams of a gaming group and tournament for Gamers. Thank you for all you do, Sherry!
